Tote-ally Fall Bags

Let's talk fall bags. There are a ton of options out there but I thought we would start with the practical yet perfect. The structured tote bag is classic but edgy when you play with deep hues and soft suedes.

What did I tell you? Perfect. Check out the handle detail, those are gold wolves.

H&M, Handbag, $34
Oh hi playful one! A glass of burgundy red.

Nordstrom, Sole Society Bridgette, $79
Winged wonder, anyone?

I love this off-white for fall. It's sleek and the simple hardware is very professional.

There will be tons of fall trends for bags, but for me, I always start with the most utility one. A structured shoulder bag is going to work for my everyday and it's stylish too.

Friday Foodday

Happy Friday lovebugs!

Here are my favorite recipes this week.

Pineapple Rum Sunset Punch
c/o The Kitchn
Ingredients
1 (20-ounce) can pineapple rings in juice, drained
1 cup grenadine
1 cup white rum
1/2 cup Campari
1 (46-ounce) can unsweetened pineapple juice, chilled
1/2 cup lime juice
1 (12-ounce) bottle ginger beer, chilled
Ice

Directions
Place the pineapple rings on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze until firm.
Combine the grenadine, rum, and Campari in a pitcher and stir until well-combined. Slowly pour in the pineapple juice, then lime juice, and finally ginger beer. Garnish the pitcher or individual glasses with the frozen pineapple rings. Serve the punch over ice.

Sweet and Spicy Ribs

  1. Whisk together the barbecue sauce, brown sugar or honey, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder in a medium bowl. Set aside 1 cup of the mixture to use for dipping sauce in the refrigerator.
  2. Set the ribs in a large slow cooker. Pour the sauce over ribs. Cover and cook on low 8 hours or until meat is very tender.

  7. Melt the chocolate over medium-low heat on the stove or in a microwave, pour it over the strawberries and let cool until the chocolate is set, about 30-60 minutes.

Blooming Blazers

Maybe the summer season is over, but I'm still holding onto some prints and styles that say warm weather. I'm talking florals. While I'm not wearing a dandelion sundress to work, I can still have some fun with floral in other ways. I really love playing with a standard blazer because its an expected 'business-like' piece but a floral blazer? Now we're talking.

Forever 21, Floral Collarless Blazer, $22
Ok, so I'm not sure what's happening underneath this blazer (not much) but I love the colors of this blazer!

I love red, black, and white for a classic power outfit.

Hello lovely! I love this blazer to ankle pants, denim, or a pencil skirt.

A great cropped look that would pair well with a button down, a tee, or a silk tank.

While a navy blazer is a classic and versatile piece, I think you may be surprised how interchangeable a floral blazer really is!
