Nothing But Net

Today we are going back to basics. We've covered the navy pant, the black pant and others- but today we're looking at a basic accessory: the hoop earring. Yes those hoop earrings.

Such a classic piece that you can wear with everything. Let's look at a couple of styles and price points.

Revolve Clothing, Huggy Hoop Earring, $77
A great hammered metal that is so sleek and understated.

French Connection, Hexagon Outline Hoop Earring, $18
I had to put these tortoise options in, I am kind of obsessed with them.

How about an unexpected rose gold hoop?

Loft, Hoop Earrings, $24 $14 with code FALLSTYLE
A simple yet solid option that comes in gold, silver, or bronze.

Hoop earrings have been, are, and will always be in style. They're a great investment piece but they're also easy to pick up on a budget.

Wrap Speed

Watches are a staple in my wardrobe. I have a standard investment watch that I wear with pretty much everything, but there are occasions that I ditch the standard and have some fun. There are a million watch styles out there and right now I am loving wrap watches. It has the look of a bracelet but the utility of that whole time telling thing.

Urban Outfitters, La Mer Chateau Wrap Watch, $92
This is watch has a nice thin strap but it has the coolness of a dark brown messenger bag leather. Love it.

Leave it to Betsey to have some blingy fun with this style.

I really love this pinky, nude color. So feminine.

Forever 21, Studded Wrap Around Watch, $13
A little edgy right? I like it. Great fall piece.

A fun wrap watch is an easy accessory to mix into your wardrobe. And don't be afraid to add an arm party to it!

The Gentlemen of Europe

And now for a brief history lesson: Culottes is a word that originated in the French language. Historically, "culottes" referred to the knee-breeches commonly worn by gentlemen of the European upper-classes from the late Middle Ages or Renaissance through the early nineteenth century. (source) Now we are seeing this style of pant pop up everywhere and I think they're perfect for fall. It's the comfort of a maxi dress in a pant. And they're worth a try.

Dorothy Perkins, Plum Crepe Culottes, $44 $27
A great work pant. Picture these with a simple t-strap pump

Anthropologie, Talavera Culottes, $98 $45
Look how cool this girl looks. Don't you want to throw on a silky blouse, sandals and a statement necklace and be like "Oh this? I just threw this on"

Asos, Navy Culottes, $57
So chic! Pockets, wide leg, classic navy.

Forever 21, Woven Pleated Culottes, $24
A great weekend pant with an elastic waistband for those bottomless brunch days.

Do not fear the culottes, they're going to offer comfort, style and a nice variation from your bf jean or pixie pant.

All In: Falling for Brunch

Happy Monday lovebugs,
The first Friday of the month was a holiday so today we're going to go All In for a September brunch. Not blazing hot weather, but still bare legs and happiness.

This easy shirt dress has an adorable micro-heart pattern and I had to use these saturated grape flats because they're finally on sale. Grab a sturdy cross body and delicate charm necklace (actually J Crew girls department) and you're set.
