Wrapped Up

I love a great wrap dress, it's easy and flattering on any shape. Today we're looking at the wrap skirt. I like this option because you can add a top that shows off your style. The shape, still just as flattering.

This gem comes in a bold color that is ready for neutrals like black, or push the limits and pair it with lavender or yellow.

A soft blush color in a heavier satin is a great contrast for this piece. You can go ultra feminine and pair it with lace and pearls or totally rocker with some spikes and a graphic tee.

Talk about the perfect maxi skirt. I love the color, the length, and the slubbed jersey comfort.

H&M, Wrap Front Skirt, $29
This skirt is great for work or play. For work I would add a bright colored blazer and for play, just throw on a simple, breezy tank and a long necklace for a night out.

Wrap skirts really let you add some of your own style to an outfit. Mini or maxi, bright or neutral, there is something for everyone with this trend.

Style Session: Get Her to the Chapel

Hey there lovebugs,
I love when people ask me to help them pick out an outfit for an occasion and this time is no different. Well maybe a little different because it's my best friend getting married. Today's style session is for Heather and we're going to put some outfits together for her big weekend coming up very soon.

First up, the rehearsal dinner. Heather has already purchased the dress so now we're going to add some accessories.

Simple, feminine, and the accessories total $55.

Next up, preparation and visiting with out of town guests. Function, versatility, and welcoming.

Simple pieces, but each one packs a punch. Knowing Heather she will be bending over fixing flowers, cleaning glasses, so I don't want her flashing the world in a dress. These jeans are perfect, and the flats are simple but special.

Last but certainly not least, getting ready. Comfort, function, and dance party ready.

Fun sweats, slippers that are dance ready, an oversize tee so to not mess up your hair, and of course microphones for singing to Britney.

I hope this helps Heather! Thank you for letting me help you get ready!

Be fabulous today!

Friday Foodday

Happy Friday lovebugs! Tomorrow is my dad's birthday so today we are looking at recipes that he would love!

Steak with onion blue cheese sauce
c/o Food Network
Ingredients
4 rib eye steaks (about 5 ounces each)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 stick softened butter
1 large yellow onion, sliced
1 cup heavy cream
3 to 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese

Directions

Preheat the grill to a high heat or light your outdoor grill.

Sprinkle the steaks with salt and pepper and smear both sides of the steaks with 1/2 stick of the butter.

Grill the steaks until medium-rare, 3 to 4 minutes per side, and then remove from the heat and keep warm. (You can also saute them in a skillet over medium-high heat if you prefer.)

Melt the remaining 1/2 stick of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, and then saute the onions until golden brown, 7 to 8 minutes. Pour in the cream, a dash of salt and pepper and the Worcestershire sauce. Let it bubble up, then add the blue cheese and stir together to melt, adding more pepper or Worcestershire sauce as you wish.

Place the steaks on plates and spoon the sauce over the top.

To cook spinach, melt 3 tablespoons butter in a separate pot. Add spinach in increments until all incorporated, and cook until wilted but not soggy, about 4 to 5 minutes.
