Silk Road

Hey there lovebugs,
As spring tries to inch it's way into our lives, we can start to put away the wool and start to test out the silk. Today, I'm talking about scarves. I just love a silk scarf for workwear because it adds something much more than a necklace ever could. Let's take a look at some not full-blown-spring but rather appropriate in between silk scarves.

C Wonder, Diagonal Stripe Scarf, $68
The versatility of this pattern really makes the price worth it. You can use this around you neck, tied to your purse, in your hair or popping out of a blazer breast pocket.

A beautiful pop of chevron for right now is just perfect in any color. This comes in pink, blue, orange and black.

Banana Republic, Lana Dot Scarf, $49
How about this for a neutral? So chic.

Fossil, Cindy Signature Scarf, $39
How about the vintage quality and pattern of this scarf, it would go beautifully with so many colors.

I love a great silk scarf for work because it's a fabulous way to dress up a plain oxford or a tired cable knit.

Happy Friday! Here are my favorite recipes this week!

2- Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Stir well.

Touch Me

Before we let go of winter I want to get in one more post about velvet. It's such a beautiful and decadent texture, let's take one more stroll.

You read that right ladies, $22. Buy it now, save for next winter, for everything.

Nasty Gal, Velvet Dot Blouse, $48
This blouse, while absolutely needs a cami would be great for work or play!

This is a beautiful dress, I love the neckline because its an understated deep scoop, kind of like 'oh hey girl, OH hey girl, you look great!'

Are these not the most fantastic orange heels you've ever seen? I'm obsessed with the heel.

Velvet will always be in style and I just had to get one more taste of it before the warmer weather comes.

I Can See Clearly Now

Happy humpday lovebugs,
Today we're take a peek through the looking glass, and the future looks clear my friends. Lucite is an odd yet intriguing trend right now and I'm loving it for shoes.

I think of this as a sexy Cinderella glass slipper.

Aldo, Darelbeida, $100
How much fun are these? And dare I say they look comfortable?

And to make up for the $100 price tag above, I give you a $15 flat.

These conversation starters also come in black. Tights or no tights, they're so much fun.

What are your thoughts on lucite? Are you in or prefer to keep things covered up.  See what I did there? Covered, clear, ok if you have to explain it, it's not as funny.
