Let's talk footwear inspired by men. Brogues to be exact. The Brogue shoe has some history: it is a style of low-heeled shoe or boot traditionally characterised by multiple-piece, sturdy leather uppers with decorative perforations (or "broguing") and serration along the pieces' visible edges. I really like the brogue trend because it injects some masculinity into your look but you can play off it and wear a big bow top or a very feminine necklace to balance it out.

She Just Likes to Embellish

Happy Monday lovebugs,
I hope you had a great weekend. Today I thought we would start things off with some shine, because what does Monday need other than coffee and sparkle? Right. Let's look at some beautifully embellished sweaters.

If you're looking for an easy, matches pretty much anything in your closet top, this is your go to. Throw it over a dress, pair it with jeans, or add some shine to a corduroy mini skirt.

Chunkster

It's freezing on the east coast. Like wear tights under your pants and then add the wool socks cold. When you walk outside it feels like you just got slapped across the face. You know what you need when it is this cold? Chunky knits. Lots of them. All of them. Get cozy.

A Little Extra on Top

Hey lovebugs,
For me, details make or break an outfit. The smaller tweaks are what make sure you're remembered. One trend that I'm really loving that embraces this sentiment is the embellished collar. This probably won't be the last time we look at this trend this season. It's a good one for any women because there are so many options.

A great minty color in a breezy silk makes this top great to stand alone or to layer with a blazer.

I may need this in my closet. This is the perfect standard gray sweater with a little extra umph.

There is so much you can do with this top. Leather pants, a pencil skirt, skinny jeans. The details are lovely.

There is something so playful about a swing top. I'd add a emerald cardigan and leopard skinny belt to this top.
