That's One Funky Flower

Hey there lovebugs,
I'm pretty pumped about today's post, because I combined two really hot trends for spring and I have to say I'm a little proud of myself. Ok, brace yourself. The first trend: floral. Huge for spring, colorful and vibrant and so many options to fit your personal style. The second trend: mod. Mod is going to be pretty big this season. I'm talking big stripes, boxier cuts and a more 60s vibe for patterns. So today....drumroll....mod floral. Let's do this.

Modcloth, Prim and Posh Dress, $44
I love this dress. It is so chic and old school. The floral panel is understated yet intricate.

You really can't beat these colors. They are so fabulous and adorable.

No seriously guys. Big, beautiful print, perfect for work or play, $11.

Simple, sweet and the perfect addition to bf jeans OR a sundress.

How'd I do guys? Mod floral. It's going to be a thing. You're welcome.

Be fabulous today!

Stunning Silver

Hey lovebugs,
Sometimes I don't have a specific trend or style that I want to highlight. Sometimes it's just one piece that screams: heck yes. And I build a post around it. That piece is below, and today's post is silver.

Tinley Road, Animal Brocade Minidress, $79
I mean, come on. Stunner. Cap sleeve, beautiful waistline, just wow.

Bauble Bar, It Girl Collar, $36
Wearing yet another crew neck sweater? Want some bling? This is the perfect way to make an entrance.

Nordstrom, Trouve Foil Print Sweater, $68
Let's make guesses as to what/who this model is looking at. I'm voting, a frozen deer, Ryan Gosling, or a woman wearing high water pants. But seriously, this sweater is a beautiful and simple top to add to jeans or to tuck into a pencil skirt.

Urban Outfitters, Incase Hammered iPhone, $35
Sometimes I think I bombard you guys with sequins. So take a look at this simple yet sophisticated hammered iPhone case.

Today's post is about all things silver. It's a beautiful color that compliments any skin tone.

Paris Anyone?

Happy almost Friday lovebugs,
I've never been to France, but the French inspired trend is just beautiful for spring. And while some of my fellow bloggers like Nikki are much more experienced in this trend, I'm going to try it out.

It's so light and breezy, and the rosy color is so sweet.

The reason I like this dress is because it can be dresses up or down with the right shoes and jewelry.

BB Dakota, Sequined Mesh Skirt, $52
Ok, I'm not sure what happened to this model's shirt, but let's focus on the beauty of this little ballerina inspired sequined skirt.

Anthropologie, No 45 scarf, $58
The watercolor print of this silk scarf gives such a Parisian look to any outfit, or tie it to your favorite purse.

So how did I do? Did I honor the beauty that is French culture? I just love the soft and effortless style of this trend.

Be fabulous today!

The Oxford Shoe Trend

Welcome back from the weekend everyone! Hope you all had a relaxing and fun couple of days.

Today we will conquer a very popular trend for fall: the oxford shoe. Now the reason why I'm hesitant about this shoe is because I'm a girly girl. If you haven't already gotten that from the pink background, and 'Barbie' title. The oxford shoe presents an interesting predicament: it's traditionally a flat which I love but it's a men's type of shoe. So let's try to find a happy medium.

Got suggestions on how to wear oxfords?

Target, Taree Oxford Shoe, $19.99
I like these because they have a nice rounded toe; much sweeter than the harsh pointy toe.

Steve Madden, Tastee Oxford Shoe, $49.95
I love these because they're no lace coolness would go perfectly with boyfriend jeans

Steve Madden, Docile Oxford Heel, $69.95
With tights? Yum.

Volatile, Marlena, $62.95
Probably could match with any outfit

Steven, Melanee, $99
And for you brave souls- I had to throw in a colored oxford. Love the detailing on this one, and the wooden sole!
