Not Not Loving the Knot

As the weather gets warmer, its important to realize the variety of casual weekend shirts that are available. These tops will keep you cool and stylish without blowing your budget. One style I really like it the tie front waist top. It's breezy and can be dressed up or down.

J Crew Factory, Striped Tie Waist Pocket Tee, $34
How adorable is this tee? Pair it with cotton shorts or an eyelet skirt.

Bloomingdale's, AQUA Tie Front Tee, $24
A crisp and clean white tee that is as soft as can be.

I love this top with patterned shorts. It's a staple without being boring.

And a button down version. Simple and easy to accessorize.

Sure it's easy to grab a tank top on those hot days, but know you've got options. Stylish ones.

Feeling Flowy

Maybe spring is really in the air or I'm just feeling pent up in my sweaters lately.  I am just loving the flowy blouses that are out right now!  What are you craving for spring?

Ann Taylor, Washed silk camp shirt, $53 with code TAKE40
This shirt is just beautiful.  It comes a a handful of soft colors too.

Modcloth, No more no less top, $38
Ruffles=spring.  This blouse is adorable.  I'm thinking boyfriend jeans.

The colors here are like a watercolor painting and the tie is such a fantastic detail.

I like this top because of the cap sleeves which makes it work appropriate without layering on a cardi.

Those are some of my picks.  I just love the feeling of something silky and flowy right now.  Bring on those May flowers!

The Tie Front Blouse

Hope everyone had a great Food Friday! I continued mine into Sunday when I cooked some bacon wrapped pork chops for the bf and I. YUM.

Also a special shout out to my friend Sarah who has a big birthday today!!! Here's what I got her for her birthday:

A portrait of her pups, Kitty!

I also hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine and the long weekend. It is kind of fall now right? Well one of my favorite blouses for fall is the tie neck blouse. It's very sassy secretary meets six figure CEO. I also like its versatility because- as you should know- if I'm buying a piece its gotta work at least 2 or 3 ways. This blouse can work with pants, skirts, or under a v-neck sweater.

Speigel, Sleeveless Silk Charmeuse Tie Neck Blouse, $59

Ann Taylor Loft, Self-Tie Button Down, $44.50

Newport News, Sash-tied blouse, $14.99

Anne Klein, Floral Tie Blouse, $79

Look for prints or solids in these types of blouses, and always silk. Yes I know, not machine washable, but it looks so much more luxurious.
