Don't Sweat It

We've been talking spring looks all week so today I thought we would tone it down and get casual. A simple sweatshirt is anything but simple these days, but the way you can style them dresses up your old Champion sweatshirt. Let's take a look at this comfortable style.

Super soft terry in a washed mint. Perfect for spring.

Modcloth, Relax Thing on My Mind, $49 $29
Simple but not average. Great contrasting under shirt that I would pair with a long tassel necklace.

I really love this top. A heather gray stripe is casual and easy for a Saturday.

Forever 21, Joie De Vivre Hoodie, $22
A great hoodie with a kangaroo pocket and it's weirdly girly with this joie de vivre graphic.

Sometimes you need a comfy and stylish sweatshirt. Pair these for spring with shorts or bf jeans for a go to weekend look.

Funneling the Trend

Funnel neck sweaters, they've been around for a long time so let's change the game. Let's talk sweatshirts. We've looked at graphic sweatshirts, we've looked at embellished sweatshirts, now let's look at funnel neck sweatshirts. They're comfy and athletic and you can mix and match with yoga pants or jeans. The athletic wear trend is easy with this type of top.

See what I mean? Simple, easy to mix and match.

Need something that sends a message? Try this soft sweatshirt.

I love the slim fit, but the ultimate comfort? Thumbholes.

Victoria's Secret, Funnel Neck Pullover, $59
I think this model is attempting to tell us its quite warm in the studio she's shooting. Either way, This simple pullover goes from yoga to errands easily.

While I'm not saying you should sport Adidas to work, this type of athletic wear trend works for me for weekends and after-hours.

Show Me Personality

Let's talk comfort. Now that the weather is (fingers crossed) getting just a little bit warmer every day, we don't have to break out the wool and the cashmere. In fact, we can have some fun while still being warm. Sweatshirts were a big trend this winter and they will continue to be this spring, but instead of bejeweled and quilted, let's get graphic and fun. These picks are casual cool and perfect for spring.

A great soft terry makes this top great for the weekend. Add on some statement earrings.

Charlotte Russe, Graphic Sweatshirt, $19
Bound to get some smiles in this sweatshirt.

A great fitted sweatshirt that is a little preppy and a lot comfy.

Express, Graphic Sweatshirt, $39
This sweatshirt was made for me. I'd dress it up by layering it with a gingham button down underneath. Maybe even some pearls.

Graphic sweatshirts are a fun way to express your personality. These tops don't break the bank but they do make you crack a smile.

Sweating Dots

Ok lovebugs, we're getting really specific today. We're taking my favorite print - the polka dot - and the most popular cozy item this season - the sweatshirt. Girly, flirty, comfy, and adorable. Let's have some fun!

Gap, Dot Sweatshirt, $26
This slight scoop neck sweatshirt is perfect for layering and the hi low hem is casual and unexpected.

Look closely, that's pink on pink ladies. That's right. Game changer. Add on a bauble and you've got one heck of an outfit- oh don't forget pants though.

Delia's, Zip Dots Sweatshirt, $29
Remember Delia's? Well they are still adorable. Check out this cropped sweatshirt with a great exposed zipper detail.

A comfy cotton blend that you can wear with jeans or maybe black cigarette pants. Or feeling brave? Try it with this merlot pencil skirt and a skinny belt.

I am loving the sweatshirt trend and I think with the right accessories you can dress it up for 9-5. And let's be honest, who doesn't love a sassy polka dot?

Quilting Up a Sweat

Sweatshirts are huge this season and I think it's about time that we glam up this cozy staple. You've seen the bejeweled versions. Today we're looking at quilted sweatshirts. A little more muted but still a great detail.

Bloomingdale's, Alternative Clark Ragland Quilted, $64
See what I mean? Simple and chic. This style also comes in blue and violet.

A stunning fall-friendly floral that is just asking for some layered blingy necklaces.

How adorably girly is this sweatshirt? I love the modified boat neck and the color combination.

You really can't beat the price and the drop shoulder gives a little something extra.

Bring on the sweatshirts. Dress them up. Wear them with pencil skirts. Layer pearls, oxford shirts, go wild. Sweat it out.

Fancy Sweats

Happy almost Friday lovebugs!

I'm feeling comfy today, but who wants to tell themselves they feel chic in sweats? Right. But what about a dressed up sweatshirt? Check out these fun and fancy sweats.

Bloomingdales, Velvet and Graham Sweatshirt, $28
The scoop neck is chic, the color is dark and the fit is a little retro.

Lands End Canvas, Slub funnel neck sweatshirt, $15
I'm all about the layering that the model is sporting. A little preppy with a sweatshirt!

This is on major sale right now, I love the detail, a little rock and roll.

The thicker stripe give this sweatshirt a rugby feel, and the color is so saturated. I love it.

Would you sport a sweatshirt out? And I'm not talking taking the trash out.
