Guest Post: Immigration Nation

Immigration, Immigration, it’s people movin’ to another Nation!
Well here we are a few days out of the “Immigrant/Refugee Ban.” I desperately hope that by the time you are reading this post, this horrible order doesn’t even exist anymore. If you’re like me, you’re racking your brain for things that you can do, buy, post, etc. to help the situation. It’s not much but it’s something. My mom always told me, if you can’t be the solution, be a link in the chain….
What follows is a collection of goods that support refugees as they resettle and begin again—products that help rebuild, heal, and restore. This guide is a celebration of courage and resilience and an invitation to become a part of a refugee's story.
{Thanks to Bittersweet Foundation for the inspiration}

Be Kind and Be Smart

It's been a tumultuous first week for our country. I thought we should take today to express how many of us feel and showcase some pretty epic political wear.

Simple statement piece and it supports small business.

Amazon, Mt Nasty Shirt, $16
I mean, come on. Get in formation, ladies.

A little more in your face but those who need to know, will know.

How about a choker necklace that says how every Spice Girl feels?

Bottom line, no matter how angry you might be right now, try to remember to be kind. Being kind is the only way we are going to get through this.

Be fabulous today!

Vote for Fun

It is almost Election Day. Don't worry, I am not going to talk politics here, but I thought we could have some fun with voting and fashion. No matter who you are voting for, do your research, make good choices, and wear these great tees.

My kind of party.

Modcloth, Shell Me on the Idea, $29
I mean, Election Day does fall on Taco Tuesday.

Express, Vote Vodka Tee, $24
From the voting booth to the bar stool.

Nordstrom Rack, Signorelli Vote Wine Party, $22
No matter who wins, it's glass half full in this tee.

Yes, this election is a huge deal. Yes, I live in DC and breathe it everyday. Yes, we should still smile and be nice to one another.

Be fabulous today!
