Don't Make Me Blush

The calendar says it's spring. The thermometer may not agree but I'm ready to break out the sandals and pastels. Maybe its a few weeks early for open toe shoes but bring on the spring with pinks and light blue hues. Today we're looking at some perfectly spring blush bags. They feel like May even when you feel like October.

Last Call Neiman Marcus, Metallic Trim Faux Leather Bucket Bag, $100 $45
Hello pinch me pink. This bag is easy to wear to work or tie on a short scarf for play.

Didn't think Old Navy was this chic, did you?

Ann Taylor, Signature Crossbody Bag, $98
Blush with a pebbly finish, what a simple extra oomph for a ladylike bag.

Modcloth, Worth the Tassel Bag, $59
Doublesided tassel and an adjustable shoulder strap. All under $60!

Spring means pastel and sunshine and while I can't guarantee the latter, I love blush for spring especially in something as easy as a new bag.

Paint Me Pastel

Last week we looked at a blush pastel dress that works for summer without looking like a bridesmaid. Today let's look at some pastel options in bags. Pastel colors are prefect for summer because like the weather they're sunny and you can throw them on with just about any print or color you can think of. Think of a pastel as that person you could talk to at a party all night without looking at your watch.

Just yes. You know in Forgetting Sarah Marshall when Paul Rudd tells Jason Segel to do less when he's surfing? This is that in a bag. And it works. Do less. It works. Oh so well.

Dillard's, Fossil Erin Shoulder Bag, $68
You know who makes a solid, timeless bag? Fossil. They always seem to capture the utility and the style of right now. Oh and it's $30 off.

Nasty Gal, Sabrina Tote, $45
If you looked up Adorable in the dictionary this would be the accompanying image. The white piping is so mod and not pictured is the shoulder strap.

Aldo, Shields, $45
A chic and feminine mix of colors with a great gold accent. This is sundress ready.

Pastels are an obvious choice for warmer weather, but instead of jewelry or blouses, try it in a bag!

Pastels in Silk

Hey lovebugs,
Sorry for the later post this morning- it was a busy weekend!  How was yours? Any good buys? Did anyone indulge in the Kate Spade friends and family sale?

This morning I thought we would go with something light and bright.  I'm usually not one for pastels, I prefer more saturated colors- but when done in a silky fabric, it feels so light and luxurious.  What do you think?

The belt on this gives this lose fabric a defined waist.

Banana Republic, Crochet trim tunic, $35
This light tunic is perfect for the weekend.  Or tuck it into a pencil skirt for work.

How many weddings are you going to this summer? Right.  This is your new go to dress.

Nordstrom, Hinge Handkerchief Hem Silk Shirt, $88
This shirt is so sophisticated and cool.  It has just the right amount of detail and not too busy.

So what do you think? Are you liking silk for spring?  It's definitely an easy-breezy fabric for warmer weather.
