Bag It

We all know color blocking is huge, but what about for bags? Mixing colors on your accessories is always a great way to spice an outfit.

Asos, Aldo Virga Clutch, $71
The turquoise trim really makes this bag for me. Such a small but noticeable pop of color.

I'm a sucker for polka dots and this is no exception. Amazing.

Chic to the extreme, I love the patent leather.

Color blocking isn't just for clutches, here is a great tote for work or weekend.

I just love mixing punchy colors, but if you're not feeling brave to wear it, try accessorizing with it!

Waves

Let's continue the print trend I seem to be hooked on this week and look at a specific pattern: waves.

Forever 21, Wave Striped Sweater, $22
This is a great dual season sweater; wear as is in the summer and when it gets cold layer under a crisp white button down shirt.

Modcloth, Weave 'em Breathless, $69
I think this is the definition of 'va, va, boom'.

The light wave of these bangles are quite light and airy, great for layering.

Vertical waves. How fresh!

This is a very specific pattern but one that is so different than your average stripe, don't you think?

Graphic Prints

Hey lovebugs,
On Monday we looked at romantic prints but today we're going a little bit bolder and trying out some graphic prints. Bigger, brighter and definitely attracting more attention.

I really like how this print weaves and wraps your shape, very fitted.

Anthropologie, Mitte Loop, $68
The busyness of this print really meshes with the color pairings.

Modcloth, Burst of Light Dress, $48
I love this piece because it's all you need. You can throw this on a pair of heels and just walk out the door.

Oversized graphic, mod and generally fabulous.

There is something so punchy and fun about a great graphic print. It's a great pop to mix into your day to day wear.

Romantic Prints

Hey lovebugs,
Happy Monday. I hope you had a great weekend. Today I thought we'd dip into a little bit of V-day mentality and look at romantic prints. These prints are softer in illustration and the entire garment gives off a more weightless feeling.

The blurry dot pattern of this dress isn't busy at all and the texture of the dress with it's ribbon waist and tiered skirt is so flowy.

This print reminds me of a watercolor and the almost tuxedo shirt pleating is a great twist.

Would you look at this beauty? It is the definition of romantic. Beautiful print, light colors, great neckline and a defined waist.

Forever 21, Pleated Garden Skirt, $16
Are you picturing this on a warm Saturday afternoon with some fantastic espadrilles? No? Just me? Ok then.

Romantic prints don't have to be super girly and they certainly aren't sexy. This print has it's own cool confidence and it takes a certain type of woman to pull it off.

Bejeweled Headband

Hey lovebugs,

For Christmas this year I got a couple headbands that were really special; they had embellishments with jewels and sequin beads. I really love headbands for everyday, but these shiny ones dress up the everyday.

This is so delicate and lovely for everyday.

Anthropologie, Swirled Suns Headband, $32
These headbands are the best if you get headaches. They stay put all day long.

A little extra fabulous to your work wear am I right?

Etsy, Edwardian headband, $27
Simple, vintage, classy.

Are you as big of a headband lover as I am? I just think they are the easiest way to look put together in the morning.

Winter White

I love a crisp and cozy white sweater in the cold weather. It can be layered or paired with colors of any sort.

I think I would live in this wrap cardi, it's so cozy and I could belt it too!

I would layer a sequin tank or a striped button down underneath this classic cardi.

Banana Republic, Textured Stripe Pullover, $69
This is a great sweater for transitioning through the seasons.

A little sparkle on this one, and I love the scoop neck.

How do you style your winter whites?

Break Up

Hey lovebugs! Happy 2012! I hope you had a happy and safe new years weekend. Any resolutions? Mine is to keep up with this blog and keep bringing you interesting and fabulous posts that you enjoy reading everyday.

Today we're talking about breaking up an outfit. Wide belts to be exact. I like wider belts because they add some interest in the torso area. Try it over a cardi or at the waist line of skirt.

I love this detail, it would be perfect with an orange or navy cardigan.

Ralph Lauren, Wide Patent Leather Stretch Belt, $38
The patent leather is so easy to accessorize with any look.

Nordstrom, Lodis Astor Deco Buckle, $48
A little retro and a little fabulous. Add this to an LBD.
Asos, Link and Plate Detail Belt, $21
I am loving this! So fresh and colorful for winter.

Are you adding belts over outfits in 2012? How do you break up an outfit?

If you aren't usually brave with your headbands during the year; NYE is the best excuse to go big or go home.

I absolutely love this belt, it's flashy and fabulous in all the right ways.

I love color around the face and these beauties are perfect for a big night.

Stella and Dot, Soiree Trio Ring, $49
Hello glamorous.

What are your NYE plans? Dressing up or down? Even if you're in pjs, wear some bling for fun!

Holiday Jammies

I'm feeling cozy and warm today because I'm thinking about what I wear on Christmas morning.  Pjs, pajamas, jammies, the ultimate outfit. How do you style Christmas morning? Here are some of my picks.

Gotta love a comfy flannel pj set. Target does this one just right.

Nordstrom, Ugg Rylan Knit Slipper, $99
I believe in investing in good slippers. Otherwise you have 85 pairs of cheap poor quality ones.

These are so cute, the lining is unexpected and playful.

Aerie, Striped robe, $39
This is so adorable and perfect for a Saturday morning coffee and bagel.

What do you wear for Christmas morning? Sweats, pjs, real clothing? Whatever it is I hope it's comfy!

Flashy and fun, perfect for all year-round!

This is so funky and glamorous at the same time.

This is so timeless and classic. I love it.

Suede Heels

There is something about a suede heels that I find so luscious. Suede is very rich and dense as a texture and they are perfect for winter. Here are some of my favorites.

Steve Madden, Lennaa, $79
These look so expensive, but for under 80 bucks, they're perfect for a long night on the town. For a holiday party, I would add these...

I love a fabulous shoe clip for some extra sass.

These pumps are screaming our for some tights and a tweed mini.

Nine West, Andriana, $55
I think every woman needs a pair of fuchsia heels.

Target, Missoni Suede Pumps, $39
No, you're not dreaming, there are still some Missoni items left.

Suede is so easy to wear in the cold weather, they make an outfit that much more interesting.
