Rosy Disposition

Happy Monday lovebugs,
I thought we should start this week with something shiny. No, not jewelry. Rose gold shoes. Right? So unexpected and fun! Let's look at a mix of sneakers for casual and heels for a night out.

Need Supply Co., Classic Slip-On, $60
How great are these shoes? Classic Vans style with a feminine twist.

OMG these shoes. I love these shoes. Short block heel and rounded toe.

Speaking of girly. Gotta love some glitter with a ribbon lace.

Something to look forward to for summer. Such a great shoe with jeans or to wear to a wedding.

Have some fun when playing with metallics, try some rose gold on your feet!

All About Timing

Let's talk timing. It's everything. And when you're not on time, well, it's embarrassing. Today we are looking at some casual, everyday watched that are affordable and chic.

Need Supply, Boheme Rose Gold Watch, $99
Worth the investment, kids. This rose gold watch is just stunning. Worn alone or add your own arm party.

Truth time: I bought this watch this weekend. I waited, I thought about it, and then I did it. I love it.

Studs are usually more rocker for me, but these are dainty and feminine. Certainly a statement watch.

I love this pop of color and a simple and chic watch face.

These watches are non-metal options meaning they are bit more casual. I think they can be worn to work, weekend, and in-between. While I wouldn't wear them with an LBD, they are workhorse pieces for sure.

Opal-eese

Let's play with a fine stone. It's almost Friday, I think we have earned some pretty things. Let's look at some opal. I love this stone because it comes in so many different color variations. I particularly like the milk opal. The creamy stone with flecks of pink and green when the light hits it just right.

Need Supply, Tiny Marquis Ring, $70
Minimalistic but so pretty. I love the rose gold.

Baublebar, Malisandre Stud Earrings, $32
A beautiful cluster for a stud earring. Busy but not heavy.

White House Black Market, White Opal Teardrop Necklace, $24
On a hot summer day, who wouldn't want this frosty necklace around their neck?

Bloomingdale's, Rebecca Minkoff Two Stone Cuff, $98
Simple, bold, and unassuming. Very cool.

What do you think about opal? If you love it, what shade or type is your favorite? This milky hue goes with everything in my closet.

Somebody's Watching You

The evil eye is something that dates back centuries. Here you thought it started with the Housewives. Actually, the evil eye charm is meant to ward off injury or bad spirits; and different cultures call it different things. In Arabic ayn al-ḥasūd عين الحسود‎, in Hebrew ʿáyin hā-ráʿ עַיִן הָרַע and my personal favorite in Hawaiian maka pilau meaning stink eye.

Let's ward off some evil with these beautiful pieces of jewelry.

Check out the blue on yellow here, it truly pops. Pair this with a chambray top or striped dress.

Need Supply Co, Evil Eye Studs, $18
Eerie slash gorgeous, right?

BaubleBar, Evil Eye Cuff, $32
This beauty also comes in silver. I love this for a colorful arm party.

Urban Outfitters, Rhinestone Evil Eye Ring, $10
A delicate yet strong ring that is sure to keep you in the clear from injury.

Evil eye, yay or nay? I'm saying yay because of these stunning pieces. Go simple with the studs or bling it out with a pendant, either way you'll be safe.

Chunkster

It's freezing on the east coast. Like wear tights under your pants and then add the wool socks cold. When you walk outside it feels like you just got slapped across the face. You know what you need when it is this cold? Chunky knits. Lots of them. All of them. Get cozy.

Wallis, Cream Chunky Jumper, $49
A cozy cream will go perfectly with coated denim or a structured legging. I also love the big cowl neck.

A great pattern that has a lot of movement for those days when you want to do absolutely nothing.

Need Supply, Cowl Neck Sweater, $68
Oversized, drapey, thick and relaxed. Add some mulled wine and call it a night.

Dorothy Perkins, Blush Embellished Sweater, $21
A lovely knit with just the right amount of detail right by the face. No necklace needed.

When the temperature drops, its all about the chunky knit. Layer on an infinity scarf and find some comfy slippers

Bleeding Bling

Happy almost Friday lovebugs. Do you have any plans this weekend? I'm heading to Ocean City for my good friend Sarah's birthday. One last beach weekend before the summer ends.

Today I thought we'd look at the 'it' color for fall, oxblood. But let's look at it for jewels. So beautiful burgundy or oxblood accessories.

Bauble Bar, Burgundy Gem Drops, $24
Hello drama, hello sophistication.

Need Supply, Coral Necklace in Burgundy, $44
Look at this necklace. So different, and nothing like I've seen before.

These beauties are perfect for dark denim. I love this drop earring.

Topshop, Suede Wrap Bracelet, $24
A great layering piece for an arm party.

Whether you wear it as oxblood, burgundy, dark red, or maroon, this color is perfect for fall.

Scarf Dress

Today we're talking scarf dresses.  Now you may be thinking of a handkerchief style, but no I mean scarf.  A tie neck dress if you will.  This style is huge for fall in blouses and dresses.

I love this abstract print and the 3/4 length sleeve. But please wear tights with this! It is short!

So sweet and secretary.  Now put on some patent leather pumps!

Need Supply, Betty Dress, $58
This color looks so vintage!

Fossil, Tawny dress, $39
What a fantastic graphic and the dropped waist is so interesting.

I really love a silk tie top or dress because it is so feminine.  Do you love it as much as I do?

Loafers

I'm a sucker for loafers.  Maybe it's the private school girl in me but there is something about them that exudes preptastic amazingness.  But there is a way to dress them up to look not so grade school.

Nordstrom, Magdesians January Flat, $59
I really love the studs mixed with the tassels, girly and masculine at the same time.

Wanted Shoes, Carlton in Tiger, $49
These are sophistication central.  Skinny jeans, black pants, you name it.

Need Supply, Marcel Loafer, $69
Wow.  Sleek.  The lines on this loafer are perfect.

I'm going to be honest, I usually do pretty well restraining myself from purchasing items that I post.  This might not be one of those times.  Wow. I'm in love.  I'd wear these with pearls or a black mini and eyeliner.

So, loafer don't always need to be prep school chic! No pennies were hurt in the making of this post!

Chevron

Hey lovebugs!
It's almost Friday!  So close!  Have any recipes for me? Email me and I'd love to post them.

Today we're talking chevron.  Such a fun print for an end of summer activity or an evening party.

This dress is so interesting.  Great waist tie and in the fall I would pair it with black booties and a hot pink cardi.

So simple and earthy.

I love this color combination! This is fabulous for fall.

I really like the chevron pattern with a graphic print.  This is also a great color palette to go into fall.

I really like the chevron print because it's versatile and anyone can wear it.

Natural Bangles

Bangles are all the rage right now, but sometimes the jingle jangle on my arm gets a little old.  How about trying a bangle with a more natural texture? Oh and they offer a quieter option to the metal bracelets.

Forever 21, Vibrant Island Bangles, $3!
These are SO much fun.  They also come in yellow and light blue.

These are just so sweet.  Like a sundress wrapped up into a bracelet.

Ralph Lauren, Embellished Wooden Bangle, $35
I absolutely love these bangles.  They are so sophisticated but in the least flashiest way.

Need Supply, Mali Africa Bracelets, $14
Talk about color! This goes with everything: a maxi dress or shorts.

I really like the different materials in these bangles.  Try some out in resin, wood, enamel, or fabric.
