Point Me in the Right Direction

Happy humpday!

I hope you are having a great week. I thought we would spend today in comfort but style (per usual) and look at some pointy toe loafers. These beauties are easy to wear to work and dress up a pair of jeans for the weekend.

Obsessed would be an understatement. These look like Midas slippers.

A spring loafer that is not going to break the bank!

Love this navy, but it also comes in a variety of other colors!

Modern, yet girly. Also comes in gold.

A simple and elegant flat that is inspired by menswear but is styled just for you.

Ladylike Loafer

Today's post comes from The bf. He suggests that we look at loafers for spring. I couldn't agree more. With muses like Dakota Johnson or Alexa Chung, we can easily pair these masculine slip ons with skirts and dresses. Today we're focusing on tassel or fringe loafers.

Pink patent leather tassel loafers. Need I say more?

Sole Society, Rose Gold Kitty Huxley Loafer, $52
Not feeling the tassel? Try this delicate bow on top of the fringe.

Modcloth, Harbinger's Luck Loafer, $59
A more traditional loafer in a red infused mocha color.

I think I may have saved my favorite for last. A great rounded toe with a touch of saddle shoe design.

Not so masculine anymore, huh? I love mixing this classic with anything girly in my closet.

Get to the Point

I love flats. I do, I know they aren't necessarily as feminine as heels, but as a city girl, I love comfort and style. Luckily, we've got some great flat trends that are happening right now. Today we're looking at a style borrowed from the boys: the loafer. The lady version of this is a pointy toe version that is quite the showstopper.

Express, Pointed Toe Loafer, $49
I love this look with a suit, but picture it with a ripped skinny jean. Amazing.

Oh what a stunner in metallic. Talk about a statement piece. I'm loving this for a dressier affair.

Let me tell you something about Ann and her shoes. She makes a killer and quality shoe. I have wedges from years ago that got major action this summer. This pair is going to be a classic in your closet.

How about a little something more Zooey Deschanel? Try these quirky cuties!

These pointy toe loafers are anything but masculine. They are comfortable, stylish, and perfect for fall.

Sparkle & Shine

Today is one of my favorite days, and that is because we're looking at glitter loafers. Life doesn't get much better than this ladies, this is the good stuff. Loafers, covered in glitter, yep. I have no other wise words for you so let's just get to it.

Gap, Glitter Loafers, $39
Navy. Glitter. Loafers. Hello.

You know what? Topshop was so right when they named these flats, they're magical.

Melissa, Virtue Special Flat, $85
Well, well, these are what Barbie WISH she wore 24/7.

Steve Madden, Chaufur Loafers, $50
Saved the best for last. Tassels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These aren't metallic, they're not even sequins. No, these are glitter and I promise they will make you happy every single time you wear them.

Running with Scissors

Hi there lovebugs,
Did this weekend feel way to short? For me, one minute I was celebrating Friday with dinner on the roof and the next it was Sunday night laundry. Oh well, back to the grind. But before the grind let's look at some pretty things, yes? Great. Loafers really took off last year, and they're going to be big this year as well, but before we break out the velvet and tights, how about some cutout loafers? Perfect transition piece right now.

Anthropologie, Lydia loafer, $98
I love these pointy toe loafers. They come in four other colors and they have a great leather sole that will make them comfy and durable.

Modcloth, Terrarium Artist Flat, $32
A simple and sweet flat for those mid 60 degree weekend days when you run off to brunch.

DV by Dolce Vita, Gulliver, $55
A great punch of yellow makes these flats perfect for that little extra kick.

Modcloth, Olive Me Flat, $32
And how about these fabulously geeky loafers? I love them with denim, straight fit dress pants, or anything in between.

There are a ton of different styles of loafers out there but I think the cut out style is great for right now. A little breezy, a lot of impact.

Metal Meets Loafer

Happy almost Friday lovebugs,
Today we're looking at some loafers, but these aren't your mom's loafers. We're looking at metallic loafers. Sassy, cool and eye catching.

Piperlime, Bass Wendybird 2, $99
If you want one heck of a sturdy shoe, get Bass. The cost per wear will make the price worth it.

Fossil, Calabash Loafer, $98
How about these with some ankle pants? I love the menswear look these loafers have.

Neiman Marcus, Cole Haan Air Tali Loafer, $56
You see that word 'air' in these Cole Haan loafers? That means Nike designed this shoe. That means you can walk a mile in these shoes. You're welcome.

Sperry Top Sider, Brooks, $80
Even Sperry, the boat shoe experts, make a great loafer. I love the snake print on this gold metallic.

Loafers are huge for fall. You've got smoking loafers, penny loafers, you name it. Try out a metallic loafer to add some spice to your outfit.

Loafers

I'm a sucker for loafers.  Maybe it's the private school girl in me but there is something about them that exudes preptastic amazingness.  But there is a way to dress them up to look not so grade school.

Nordstrom, Magdesians January Flat, $59
I really love the studs mixed with the tassels, girly and masculine at the same time.

Wanted Shoes, Carlton in Tiger, $49
These are sophistication central.  Skinny jeans, black pants, you name it.

Need Supply, Marcel Loafer, $69
Wow.  Sleek.  The lines on this loafer are perfect.

I'm going to be honest, I usually do pretty well restraining myself from purchasing items that I post.  This might not be one of those times.  Wow. I'm in love.  I'd wear these with pearls or a black mini and eyeliner.

So, loafer don't always need to be prep school chic! No pennies were hurt in the making of this post!
