We all have come to know and love the d'orsay trend. It's simple, anyone can pull it off and it's modifiable to any budget. I love suede for fall and while I can't say I'll be sporting a full on suede skirt this season, these suede d'orsay shoes make me feel a part of the trend. Sorry Vogue, baby steps for this girl.

Wild Thing

I know it is technically still pedicure season, but my toes are looking a bit ragged. When this happens I look for summery shoes that keep my piggies covered. For this summer, I love the d'orsay flat because it's funky while keeping my feet cool. Today we're looking at some flashy leopard options.

You Don't D'Orsay?

The D'Orsay flat has been all the rage lately, and why not? They're chic, comfortable and affordable. But what's in a name? D’Orsay shoes, in which the side or "vamp" of the shoe is cut very close to the sole, were named after Count Alfred d’Orsay; a 19th Century "dandy", artist and friend of Lord Byron. The shoes were worn by men at the time, and the cut-out sides were introduced to accommodate wider feet. [source]
