Chevron On and On

Hey there lovebugs. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I thought we would give this week a theme and focus on something fun: this week we're going to look at patterns. Summertime is full of lovely fabrics, breezy pastels, but this week we're mixing things up and each day we'll look at a different pattern. Today we're starting with an old favorite, chevron.

This is one fabulous mini. I love the shape and it's easy to pair with heels or flat metallic sandals.

Because who doesn't need a wrap dress in their closet?

I'm having a hard time not putting this scarf in my cart. It's the perfect summer night scarf. A beautiful ombre coral and a pop of blue.

Speaking of summer nights, how about this gauzy open weave sweater.

I love chevron as an all over print because it can be so bold with a thick stripe or it can be understated with a light color open stitch. You have so many options.

Chevr-on Your Side

Hey there lovebugs,
Happy Monday to you. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. It was a hot one here in DC and I was scouring my closet for a breezy dress that I could throw on and go. A simple solid color dress works but sometimes its easier to throw on a pattern and not have to worry about accessories. I'm loving chevron lately, more specifically, colorful chevron.

Dillard's, GB Chevron Dress, $54
Hello rainbow. I just love this dress. It's not neon, it's not pastel, it just pops.

This open back detail is quite the understatement but it's a great detail.

Necessary Clothing, So Necessary Dress, $34
How cute is this date night mini dress? And under $40!

Modcloth, Spring to Life Dress, $49
A floral chevron is so relaxed and bohemian chic.

Chevron is a great pattern for any body type, you can accessorize it as little or as much as you'd like.

Better than Stripes

Hey there lovebugs,
Happy Monday to you. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I saw the clutch below and I knew I had to do a post on it. Chevron bags. What a great concept. A pattern that ends up being a neutral with any outfit.

Look at this beautiful metallic chevron pattern. I would pair this with jeans on date night or an LBD.

This has a nautical C Wonder feeling to it. You can also choose the color of the lining.

Lori's Shoes, Latico, $84
A little vintage look here. This also has a snap closure which is nice to use a clutch or toss into a larger bag.

Etsy, Wilshire Clutch, $60
The art deco style of this clutch is, well, clutch. The chevron pattern is outlined with gold beading.

Chevron is such a great pattern to integrate with an accessory because it adds interest without distracting from the rest of your outfit.

Bright Chevron

Hey lovebugs!

How was your long weekend? I hope you took some time for yourself and had some time to recharge.  Now that we're back to work, at least it's only a short one. Today I thought we'd look at a trend that we've seen here before but in new colors. Let's look at chevron but in some brights!

I love this longer tank because its so easy to accessorize with a long necklace or earrings.

Piperlime, C. Luce Belted Dress, $64
One of my favorite colors is green, this dress combines a great pattern, a great color and a great silhouette.

I absolutely love the colors in this scarf, reminds me of candy.

Macy's, Cha Cha Vente Top, $34
Look at these gorgeous sleeves, so perfect for running around on a Saturday.

Are you wearing chevron this summer? How are you mixing it up to perk up your wardrobe?

Chevron

Hey lovebugs,
Happy Monday to you! Can you believe March is almost over? Spring is coming and one pattern that I'm really loving for the warmer weather is chevron.

Tinley Road, Chevron Dress, $59
Great colors, great price and the sleeves are perfect for the transition to warmer weather.

Forever 21, Chevron scarf, $7
I'm picturing this with a beat up denim jacket for coffee on weekend.

Loving the hemlines on this piece great change of pattern direction.

Neiman Marcus, Nara Pave and Quartz Studs, $85
I really like the idea of a single chevron on a simple stuff earring, kind of rocker.

How are you styling chevron right now? I think it's a great pattern to mix with any color, something different than your normal stripe.

Chevron

Hey lovebugs!
It's almost Friday!  So close!  Have any recipes for me? Email me and I'd love to post them.

Today we're talking chevron.  Such a fun print for an end of summer activity or an evening party.

This dress is so interesting.  Great waist tie and in the fall I would pair it with black booties and a hot pink cardi.

So simple and earthy.

I love this color combination! This is fabulous for fall.

I really like the chevron pattern with a graphic print.  This is also a great color palette to go into fall.

I really like the chevron print because it's versatile and anyone can wear it.
