Cardigans for Cool Conference Rooms

I've been at a conference yesterday and today and it's been unsurprisingly frigid in the meeting rooms. But what's a girl to when it's May and 75 degrees outside but approximately 32 inside? You get your cardigan. While sweater weather is over, the spring cardigan is a great layering piece for those unexpected chilly moments.

A pop of yellow is always welcome in the springtime. This cardigan is fitted and slim which is great for a printed card.

Banana Republic, Merino Boyfriend Cardigan, $78
A lovely lightweight merino is great in a staple color like a washed gray.

As the description states - preppy meets practical. Amen.

Ann Taylor, Open Cardigan, $69
Always have an open cardigan in your closet. They are great for travel and cold meeting rooms.

Spring cardigans have a great place in my rotation. Over cooled offices and conference rooms will never win against a light cardi.

Nasty Woman

It's Monday, and I'm feeling like a nasty woman. I thought we should celebrate with leopard. A leopard sweater that is snug, fitted, and sassy.

JCrew Factory, Teddie Sweater, $41
See? Simple, classic, affordable.

I love this sweater. It's a little boxy which is fun to balance with some neon earrings.

Bloomingdale's, Foxcroft Leopard Print Cardigan, $89
A leopard cardigan is a beautiful and simple way to add some pizazz to a pencil skirt.

Asos, Sweater in Leopard, $43
A great transition piece with 3/4 length sleeves.

So lean in and make a statement with some leopard. Play with fit and style and make it work for you.

Bombs Away

We're almost there, lovebugs. Tomorrow is Friday. Let's have some fun today. A great bomber jacket is fun for casual wear but I'm also loving the bomber sweater. It's the same style as the classic but in cozier form.

Garage, Sweater Bomber, $44
Classic silhouette but with an updated style!

American Eagle, Hooded Bombed Sweater, $59
Great knit with a varsity stripe on the hems.

Great price for a very versatile piece.

A sweet cardigan but made bomber with the collar and zipper front.

The bomber jacket is great for a casual look and fun to wear with jeans, leggings, and more. I think mixing it up with a knit is a great way to enjoy sweater weather.

Creature Comforts

Ok, we're back. No more quiet workdays because half of the world is on vacation. It's for real and it's 2017. Are you ready? Not quite? That's ok, I've got you covered with some cozy long cardigans that look great and make you feel like you're still under the covers.

Anthropologie, Snow Day Cardigan, $79
Hello comfort. A beautiful drape and the perfect sleeve length.

Nordstrom, Leith Easy Knit Cardigan, $47
This knit is 40% right now and I am loving the marled texture.

Speaking of texture. Can we just have a moment with this layer of love?

This color will go with anything. You can also belt it to dress it up a bit.

I hope you don't have to wear a pencil skirt and pantyhose today. If you do, look at these comfy cardis and think of puppies.

Too Close to Shawl

It's almost Friday, so let's get comfy. A beautiful shawl cardigan is equal parts feminine and cozy. I love it belted with jeans and booties for a daytime look and with leggings and slippers for a warm night in.

Nordstrom, Hinge Ribbed Cardigan, $89
What did I tell you? And check out these pretty bell sleeves.

A classic winter white will pair beautifully with a striped tee or cords of any color.

Simple and casual.

And a great black option for when you're feeling extra New York.

The shawl collar is a must have in your winter sweater rotation. It is so comfy and cozy. You won't regret it.

Fringe Benefits

Yesterday we talked tassels, today I thought we would keep the style going with fringe. Not always my favorite trend, but I like an understated fringe that isn't so boho festival chic. That's why I like fringe that is on a cropped jacket or cardigan.

A great shape with an eye-catching print.

The black label contrast really makes this cardigan stand out. I also love the bracelet bell sleeves.

Going a little western but with a structured silhouette.

The best option for layering. And the cotton is marled so it's crazy soft.

While fringe isn't always my style, a structured and tasteful amount can be something different for my everyday look.

It's A Long Story

Keeping it cozy today. Long cardigans that are slimming, simple, and easy to accessorize. I like an open front version that you can wear as is or tie with a skinny neon or leopard belt.

Simple vertical ribbing with patch pockets. Wear with leggings on a Sunday or dress it up with a button down.

Love 40% off! A beautiful navy or grab it in gray

A great oversized collar and this bad boy is machine washable!

Merino meaning super soft. I love the vneck styling which gives this a boyfriend style.

A long cardigan is just what I'd like to wrap up in on this Wednesday. Cozy, comfortable, and stylish. I would go for a heavier or chunkier knit now with a tissue turtleneck underneath and some statement earrings.

Wake Me When it's Spring

Happy Monday lovebugs,
At this point in the grand scheme of winter, do you just want to give up? White flag raised Mother Nature, you win. It's this time of year when I search out cozy. Something warm, soft, but still put together. Today we're looking at a cocoon cardigan. It even sounds cozy.

Last Call Neiman Marcus, Knit Circle Cardigan Sweater, $56
Oh cozy. So warm and soft and this sale price? Don't mind if a do!

Currently 40% off, I am loving this pop of teal when I'm generally wearing a lot of black and grays in the winter.

This sweater has some nice texture which usually means dry clean only, but would I do that to you? Heck no.

Speaking of texture, how about this beauty? This is chic and soft in so many ways.

Back in November, we looked at cocoon coats, but why not something to wrap yourself in all day long? These cocoon cardigans are functional, easy to layer, and machine washable.

V is for Cardigan

I'm a big believer in cardigans. I keep one at the office when they decide to turn us into popsicles, I have a small collection (as The Bf says) at home, and I just think they are the most versatile, four season piece you can own. Today we're looking at the v-neck option because it is great for layering.

Ann Taylor, Ribbed V-Neck Cardigan, $79
Two words: Dark pine. This color is my new favorite of the season.

Have you tried the Gap eversoft line? It's the feel of cashmere without the price.

JCrew, Merino Wool Double Knit Long Cardigan, $78 with code TGIFALL
JCrew's merino does not go on sale often. Scoop up this do it all neutral, you won't regret it.

The look of Ralph Lauren with the utility and reliability of LandsEnd, and in a gorgeous violet.

The v-neck cardigan is a classic piece that you can wear buttoned up with a tie neck blouse or wear open with a striped tee for a casual look. It's your do it all piece.

Conference Room AC

You know what you can always count on when you're on a work trip? Cold conference rooms. I guarantee it. You know what those call for? Cardigans.

A great pop of color to layer over an lbd or with navy pants.

Anthropologie, Isis Cardigan, $88
A lambswool and cashmere blend is just the right amount of cozy for work.

So simple and chic. The small panels are eye catching without being distracting.

Ann Taylor, Chain Trim Cardigan, $79
Just beautiful detailing on this cardigan. I love the merlot color as well.

Cardigans are essential for work trips. You never know when you have to sit in a freezing conference room, car, train, plane, or hotel room.

5th Century Chic

Ah, sweater weather. One of my favorite times of the year. And while it may not be wool and cashmere time just yet, you can get away with a cardi here and there. One cardigan style that I'm really loving is the kimono cardi. It's relaxed and chic and its perfect for right now.

This stripe will be a staple in your closet. I love the rounded hem and open front.

Dorothy Perkins, Black/stone waterfall cardigan, $55
Talk about a great print. This would pair so well with cords or jeans.

Forever 21, Happy Hour Kimono, $27
I'm not sure where her pants went, but I love her sweater. It has an embossed rose pattern all over that is just the perfect detail.

This machine washable (key guys) tribal print inspired cardi is great for right now or layering later this winter.

The kimono cardi takes the sleeve style of the traditional and transforms it into the casual. These pieces are different than your buttoned up standard, and different in the best way possible.
