Make Me Blush

Happy Monday lovebugs,

As we wrap up the summer wedding season, I am sure if not this year, at some point in your life you've unwillingly purchased nude pumps. You are a good friend. I applaud you. But now, it's you time. Time to put away the nude and bring out blush. A beautiful, feminine hue that can be professional or playful.

Modcloth, Piles as Punch Flat, $69
I've never done ballet, but I can play the part with these beautiful flats.

Perhaps a more versatile shoe than a black pump. Chic, suede, stunning.

Oh come on, I had to. How can you not have fun in these sneakers?!

Sometimes a bow can be a little too sweet, this pump is anything but - it's commanding.

You've put in your time in nude pumps, it's time to sweeten things up and have some fun in blush!

Don't Make Me Blush

The calendar says it's spring. The thermometer may not agree but I'm ready to break out the sandals and pastels. Maybe its a few weeks early for open toe shoes but bring on the spring with pinks and light blue hues. Today we're looking at some perfectly spring blush bags. They feel like May even when you feel like October.

Last Call Neiman Marcus, Metallic Trim Faux Leather Bucket Bag, $100 $45
Hello pinch me pink. This bag is easy to wear to work or tie on a short scarf for play.

Didn't think Old Navy was this chic, did you?

Ann Taylor, Signature Crossbody Bag, $98
Blush with a pebbly finish, what a simple extra oomph for a ladylike bag.

Modcloth, Worth the Tassel Bag, $59
Doublesided tassel and an adjustable shoulder strap. All under $60!

Spring means pastel and sunshine and while I can't guarantee the latter, I love blush for spring especially in something as easy as a new bag.

Pretty in Quilt

Happy Monday lovebugs,
I hope you had a great weekend. Today I thought we would start the week off with something soft. A nice soft pink but with a twist- quilted. The quilted trend is really interesting because on one end of the spectrum you have the classic Chanel quilted look but on the other you have the casual sweatshirt style. I love this dichotomy. Let's look at some blush quilted picks.

H&M, Biker Jacket, $49
Not what you expected, am I right? Girly meets biker.

Forever 21, Quilted Knit Sweater, $19
This sweater can be dressed up with a button down and statement necklace or wear as is with bf jeans.
Slip on sneaks are all the rage this fall. These are a great neutral option.

A quilted cable pattern is different and the zipper detail makes this blush a little less feminine.

The quilted trend can run from the ultra-spendy tot he comfy sweatshirt and that is a trend I love. Anyone can get on board and in these blush hues, it's an easy mix in to your wardrobe.

Stop, I'm Blushing!

A few weeks ago we looked at some blush dresses. They were feminine, delicate and beautiful. Today I thought we would look at some similar shades but in shoes.

Victoria's Secret, Crisscross Sandal, $19
Elastic straps mean uber comfort. A simple yet affordable sandal.

How sweet are these sandals? I love the ankle strap and toe ring.

Dorothy Perkins, Low Block Heel Court Shoes, $39
Here are your new go to work shoes. Low chunky heel, rounded toe, and some patent leather for shine.

Forever 21, Buckled Pointed Toe Flats, $22
Yes. Just yes. Wear it now with a white lace dress and wear it later with patterned tights and a skirt.

Blush shoes are a feminine alternative to nude. Play with sandals, sling backs and any other style you can think of.

Blushing Not Bridesmaid

In this lovely time of wedding season, some colors become off limits for us because they're seen as bridesmaid-ish. You know what I mean, the pastels, the mints, and most certainly the blushes. Today we're going to look at some blush dresses that are certainly not going to mistake you for a part of the wedding party.

Free People, Fantine Maxi Dress, $98
An ethereal dress made from a gauzy cotton that is light and perfect for summer.

Dorothy Perkins, Blush print maxi dress, $59
I am in love with this blossom inspired maxi. The waistline, the pleating, the neckline. It's beautiful.

Modcloth, Charismatic Cameo Dress, $74
This dress is dreamy. The tulle, the lace and the thin black belt. Just a dream.

Forever 21, Enchanted Maxi Dress, $24
I think everyone needs a dressy maxi that is under $25. This one offers a great canvas to add on colorful accessories or leave as is.

Blush is a color that you will see in many weddings this summer but that doesn't mean you can't rock it. These options are girly without carrying a bouquet.
