Compact Safari

Happy Monday lovebugs,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I spent mine at home for the Easter holiday. Such a great time to recharge.

Today I thought we would look at an easy, goes-with-everything clutch. I'm talking about leopard. It doesn't always have to be Jessica Rabbit sexy when it comes to leopard, let's look at some affordable options.

This is so chic. I love the hard lines matched with the shiny patent leather.

Way to go J Lo. Clearly you are still looking out for us girls from the block with this price point.

French Connection, Disco Leopard Clutch, $39
Hey girl hey!!!!! Are we ready to get on that dance floor?

White House Black Market, Haircalf Clutch, $31
I really love this with an LBD because its very understated while still memorable.

A small leopard clutch is a beautiful and easy way to add interest to your outfit. Simple, compact, and goes with everything.

Jungle Fever

Hey lovebugs! Happy humpday. Today we're taking a peek into the wild, I'm talking about animal print bottoms.

J Crew knows how to do a great print on something bigger than an accessory.

A subtle print, this is perfect for maybe an evening out with parents.

The drape effect on these shorts dresses them up without the bulkiness of pleats.

Calvin Klein, Sequined Zebra Shorts, $34
OK, I usually try not to post the same designer twice in the same post, but I hope you'll forgive me. Sequined, zebra, shorts. Just yes.

So give your stripes, paisley, polka dots and ikats a rest and step into the wild side.

Be fabulous today!

Where the wild things are

Hey there lovebugs, happy hump day to you!  I hope you are having a great week!

Today I want to talk about a trend that isn't one of my go-to looks, but it will be making a comeback this summer.  Animal print.  While I may mix a leopard print shoe into my looks every now and then, I have never really embraced the animal print trend- until now.

I love this wavy zebra print in gray.  Really interesting pockets.

Ann Taylor, Ikat Leopard Top, $88
Only Ann Taylor could pull off a work appropriate button down in this print.  It's so chic!

Zappos, Anne Klein Fenton, $60
I'm obsessed with these.  Great print, stacked heel and rounded toe!

Let me tell you something, it is really difficult to find an animal print dress that doesn't make you look like a hot mess.  Now even though this model looks like she just woke up, the dress is really beautiful.  It's got a great neckline and a nice cinch at the waist.

So, animal prints are definitely a bold pattern to wear, especially between 9 and 5.  Personally, I'm more comfortable in stripes or polka dots but always try new prints because they might surprise you!
