Halloween 2016
Fun fact: I despise Halloween. We talk about this each year. I just don't see a point in spending money on something you wear once. So once again, I'm pulling together some easy costumes that can be broken up to wear again.

All In: Holding onto Summer
Happy Monday lovebugs,
It's the first Monday in August, which means it is All In Day. That's right. Let's build a fantastic outfit all in for under $100. It's ridiculously hot here in DC so today's outfit is based on a cool summer romper that is great for a night out when paired with heels or a day at the winery with your girlfriends when paired with sandals.

All In: Summer Nights
Happy June lovebugs, and happy first Monday in June. The first Monday of the month means it's All In day. An entire outfit for under $100. Today we're going to look at two outfits each under $100. The first is a summer date night outfit. Breezy, sexy, and beautiful. The second look will be a summer night out with the girls. A little edgier, and a little more adventurous.
Be fabulous today!

Style Session: Get Her to the Chapel
Hey there lovebugs,
I love when people ask me to help them pick out an outfit for an occasion and this time is no different. Well maybe a little different because it's my best friend getting married. Today's style session is for Heather and we're going to put some outfits together for her big weekend coming up very soon.
First up, the rehearsal dinner. Heather has already purchased the dress so now we're going to add some accessories.

First up, the rehearsal dinner. Heather has already purchased the dress so now we're going to add some accessories.
Simple, feminine, and the accessories total $55.
Next up, preparation and visiting with out of town guests. Function, versatility, and welcoming.
Simple pieces, but each one packs a punch. Knowing Heather she will be bending over fixing flowers, cleaning glasses, so I don't want her flashing the world in a dress. These jeans are perfect, and the flats are simple but special.
Last but certainly not least, getting ready. Comfort, function, and dance party ready.
Fun sweats, slippers that are dance ready, an oversize tee so to not mess up your hair, and of course microphones for singing to Britney.
I hope this helps Heather! Thank you for letting me help you get ready!

All in: Beach Ready
Hey there lovebugs,
Happy Monday to you. It's the first Monday of the month which means it's all in day. It's when I put together an entire outfit for under $100. Since it's August, I thought I would try to squeeze in a teeny bit of beach before the summer is over. Here's beach ready for under $100.

All In: First Day
Happy July lovebugs! Today is a special day for me because it's my first day at a new job. So I thought what better way to continue our all in for $100 theme posts than with a first day outfit. Now offices really very with dress code, and for mine it's business casual and even a bit more relaxed for summer. That's what we'll focus on today.

Walking to Work
Being a city girl, I walk to work and about everywhere else so I carry my heels in my purse. That being said I refuse to wear sneakers with a work outfit, so today let's talk walking flats.
Gap, City Flat, $39
I'm obsessed with these shoes. They fold up into their own little bag and they're the best for walking to work.
Fossil, Maddox Flat, $39
How great are these? The oversized buckle is so chic.
Lands End Canvas, Mackenzie Plaintoe Ballet Flat, $39
I like this suede with the bright yellow.
Payless, Claire Scrunch Flat, $30
Believe it or not these payless flats have memory foam in the sole. Perfect for walking.
I don't believe a walking flat should cost a lot of money because it's going to take a lot of wear. From the pavement, from the weather and from being scrunched into purses. So find something cheap, comfortable and cute, and you will have happy feet!
Be fabulous today!

98 Degrees and I Don't Mean the Boy Band
DC Summers are always brutal but this one in particular seems a little extra heinous. With temps near the 100s daily and humidity that would make even a porcupine's hair frizzy; the daily work wear has been: wear as little as possible and still look professional.
Here is my favorite outfit I found that that balances professional with "holy crap my face is literally melting off right now"
Note the patterned silk blouse that is perfect for walking to work in; there are a lot of silk tops out there this season with ruffles which I think is perfectly office appropriate if paired with the correct bottom- NOT Bebe mini skirt as mentioned in the previous post. A nice bold cardigan for the A/C vent your cubicle is inevitably under; and simple slacks, preferably machine washable because the sweat along the waistband- though not glamorous is going to happen.
If you're looking for more of a cool breeze on your way to work, a dress is a great option for summer and if you pick the right one you can transition it into winter with some warm tights and appropriate jewelry.
Here I've picked out an outfit that may fit that bill.
Dress, Jcrew, $98
love the ruffle around the neckline and the "orchid ginger" color will look good on you if you're pale or super-back-from-vacay-tan.
Belt, Talbots, $38
Feminine with studs add a bit of 'bitch, please, I'm wearing this dress'
Necklace, Ann Taylor, $46
Ann Taylor has really stepped it up in the accessories department. This one I would double wrap for extra volume.
Shoe, Payless, $7
Yes, you read that correctly. Never overlook the power of Payless. These little wedges are not only the perfect price but they can go from day dress to skinny jeans easily.
