Your Shoes Need A Mint

One color I love for all four seasons is mint. It is a great pastel that goes with jewel tones, black, brown, prints, you name it. Now not all pieces work all yearlong, you're not going to wear a mint cashmere sweater in August. You know what you do need 12 months of the year? Sneakers. You know what color pops? Mint.

Net A Porter, Juvenate Mesh Sneakers, $85
Love. Go from brunch to the gym without changing your shoes.

Picture these with ripped jeans now and a midi skirt in a gingham print in July.

Zappos, Saucony Jazz Low Pro, $50
Mint and cobalt. What a fantastic combo.

What did I tell you about mint and prints? These are very fun.

Sneakers can get pricey quickly but these options don't break the bank. Mint is a versatile color to wear with yoga pants, printed spandex, or jeans!

All In: Beast Mode

Happy first Monday of 2016. I hope you feel like kicking ass and being awesome. Today's All In post is all about resolutions, and so often its about getting fit. In 2015 I lost 25 pounds and I have 5 more to go. The last 5 is usually the hardest so I'm all about my Weight Watchers app, Fitbit, and pilates. Here's an outfit - all in for under $100 - for getting fit and looking good.

Color Run

Here's a secret: I don't work out. Well, I walk a lot and I take the stairs when I can, but the only thing that gets me running is a bagel or loaded nachos. So, when the fashion sneaker trend came about I wasn't quick to jump on board. But, how long could I stay away from a trend that combines comfort and sass? I didn't.

I mean, come on. When the track meets the cosmetics department. These are adorable.

Crisp, neon, love. And six other color combos to choose from.

Nordstrom, Nike Air Pegasus 83, $75
Denim jacket, crops, and shades. Perfect combination.

Pop of color? I LOVE this saturated deep pink.

While I won't be training for a marathon anytime soon, I will be sporting these colorful and comfortable sneakers!

Sporty Spice

I know what you’re thinking…Kelsey would never write a post about dressing up “non-preppy.” Surprise! It’s not Kelsey! I’m Sara, Kelsey’s little sister. While my sister and I are best friends, we have almost nothing in common besides our love of dogs and food (It’s good to be a Heinze). When Kels asked me to do a guest post, I was a little hesitant because fashion is DEFINITELY not my thing. I have no shame in saying most of my clothes Kelsey picked out or I got for Christmas. Being the athlete of the family, I never got into the preppy look but I do have my own style. This post is for all of you who can’t pull off the polka dotty-pulitz-a-tucket look.

Anyone who knows me knows I rarely leave that house without my cowboy boots on. They’re a winter essential and a great investment. Wear them everywhere to break them in.

Right now I’m really into baggy blouses and tops. The way they fall makes your outfit look effortless and they are very forgiving if you’re not feeling great about yourself. Get one that falls off the shoulder for an easy look for a night out.
Nordstrom, Lush Oversized Boxy Tee, $26

And for those of you who’re really adventurous, a pair of dunks is a solid and original contribution to any outfit.  Be confident and strut your street cred with these!
Nike, Women's Dunks, $84

Hope you enjoyed my guest post, and keep reading my sister’s blog! She’s basically awesome.

World AIDS Day

AIDS sucks.  So does HIV.  Support finding a cure by donating, supporting, or educating in any way you can.

Today's post is RED! Obviously.

Anthropology, Hop skip jump skirt, $78
This would be great with textured tights in the winter time.

Great detailing!

Ralph Lauren, skinny cords, $65
Hello weekend with black patent leather pumps!

Marc Jacobs, bobcat down jacket, $99
That's right- Marc Jacobs.  You are welcome!

Canvas, Buffalo Check earmuffs, $29.50
Awesome gift!

Nike, RED laces, $4
