Knot Mad

One of my favorite things about women's fashion is that it's always improving on itself. Flares become culottes, platforms become stacked heels, you get the idea. And just when you get bored with one style, a new one pops up. I love a pencil skirt but, let's be honest, it can get tired. So when I found the knot skirt, I knew I found my new love.

Bloomingdale's, Lush Tie Front Mini Skirt, $32
See what I mean? So adorable.

Nordstrom Rack, Socialite Side Knot Bodycon Skirt, $22
A going out skirt with flare. Dang girl.

Lord & Taylor, Kensie Love Poetry Knot Skirt, $29
As if it could get more interesting, a high low situation for the win!

Something super soft and casual. Love this side knot.

These skirts have personality without being loud. Great color and pattern options to make you smile!

Not Not Loving the Knot

As the weather gets warmer, its important to realize the variety of casual weekend shirts that are available. These tops will keep you cool and stylish without blowing your budget. One style I really like it the tie front waist top. It's breezy and can be dressed up or down.

J Crew Factory, Striped Tie Waist Pocket Tee, $34
How adorable is this tee? Pair it with cotton shorts or an eyelet skirt.

Bloomingdale's, AQUA Tie Front Tee, $24
A crisp and clean white tee that is as soft as can be.

I love this top with patterned shorts. It's a staple without being boring.

And a button down version. Simple and easy to accessorize.

Sure it's easy to grab a tank top on those hot days, but know you've got options. Stylish ones.

Summer Shoes

Warmer temps mean a change in many things, perhaps the most important of which is footwear. Ok maybe not the most important, but it's a big deal. Pedicures are had, flip flops are dusted off, and for me an espadrille purchase is made. I love espadrilles as a dressier summer shoe and these lace up options have personality.

I really, really want these shoes. It's been really difficult for me to not put these in my cart. I love the stripes and the monochrome.

Saks Off Fifth, Schutz Kobi Lace Up Espadrille, $79
Currently half off, these lace ups alternate a braided lace up and plain.

Feminine and bright, these also come in a muted tan.

Another wedge option with a simple canvas ribbon lace up.

Lace up those new shoes and enjoy the warmer weather. It's espadrille season.

Buy Her Tulips

Let's look at a great staple skirt that is professional and flirty. The tulip skirt. Its a faux wrap with a memorable hem. Here are some versatile options for work or play.

Forever 21, High Low Tulip Hem Skirt, $16
A touch of ballerina that doubles for 9-5. PS it has an elastic waist.

Quite a comfortable jersey material makes this skirt great for all day wear.

Preppy yet beachy but the tie waist dresses it up.

Macy's, Cece Tulip Hem Skirt, $69
Simple and chic. An upgrade from your standard pencil skirt.

Try a new silhouette this spring with the tulip hem.

Perfect Pants for Perfect Weather

Let's look at a casual and comfortable pant that is great for spring. The green chino. It's effortless and machine washable which for me, is pretty much all you need in life.

A great wide waistband that is well structured and yet relaxed.

Loving this outfit. A slight roll and ankle strap heels!

A steal of a pant right now. Under $20? Fantastic.

Talbots, The Weekend Chino, $79
A lighter green but not quite pastel. You can match it to anything.

Sure we are itching to wear our dresses, but these chinos are perfect for spring!

Rip it Good

On this Friday eve, let's get comfortable with some jeans. Distressed jeans are comfortable and easy to wear on the weekends. I love the variety of fits and washes because they let you find what works just for you.

Light wash, skinny, ready for date night or an easy Saturday with some Converse.

A little frayed hem makes these super casual and cool.

So sassy. So careless in the cool girl kind of way.

Maybe the most streamlined of the bunch, easy to dress up for a date.

Casual and simple denim that will never let you down. Side note, these are all under 90 bucks.

Tie the Knot

Let's look at a fun and easy tee that offers a little something extra. It's about the little things like an unexpected hemline or a detailed sleeve that grab my attention. Today it's the knot tee.

A pop of sunshine with a relaxed fit.

Just a beautiful staple piece with an unexpected high-lo hem.

Saks Off Fifth, Scoopneck Long Sleeve Tee, $34
Speaking of staples, how about adding this to your weekend rotation?

Super soft club makes this a great tee for running errands or dressing up with printed crops.

A simple knot that makes these tees stand out from the crowd. Oh and they're all under $35.

Beautiful Boucle

It's still sweater weather and about this time of year I need a refresh on my closet. I love my sweaters, but midway (hopefully) through winter I need to add a couple to reinvigorate my drawers. Right now I love boucle sweaters. They are a fun throwback that are so ridiculously comfortable that you can't not love them.

A cozy throwover sweater for under twenty bucks? Sign me up.

Great relaxed neckline makes this sweater easy to dress down with jeans or leggings.

Could this girl be more casual cool? I think not. And this sweater is half off.

And now for a baby blue. So soft and sweet. I love this with plaid.

Boucle's long loops give it a cozy, almost chenille texture. This makes for maximum comfort.

Joy to the Sweater

We are in sweater weather so why not have some fun with it? I love a cheeky graphic sweater with a great print. It's cute, simple, and easy to dress up for a party with the right accessories.

Nordstrom, Winking Santa Pullover, $98
Who needs an ugly Christmas sweater when you can wear this adorable knit?

Because isn't that what it's really all about this season?

Great layering here. It doesn't get any cuter than a penguin in earmuffs.

Magical, whimsical, awesome.

A printed pullover sweater is great for a quick outfit or great for layering. Holiday prints make them even better.

Too Close to Shawl

It's almost Friday, so let's get comfy. A beautiful shawl cardigan is equal parts feminine and cozy. I love it belted with jeans and booties for a daytime look and with leggings and slippers for a warm night in.

Nordstrom, Hinge Ribbed Cardigan, $89
What did I tell you? And check out these pretty bell sleeves.

A classic winter white will pair beautifully with a striped tee or cords of any color.

Simple and casual.

And a great black option for when you're feeling extra New York.

The shawl collar is a must have in your winter sweater rotation. It is so comfy and cozy. You won't regret it.
