The Future is So Bright

Happy humpday lovebugs! We're getting there! Today we're going to look at some cords, but not a particular style, rather a color. We're looking at brights! Who says cords need to be in black or chocolate? Let's have some fun!

Nordstrom, KUT Diana skinny cords, $69
Woo! Sunglasses please! I love these bright orange cords, and the price!

Free People, Skinny Corduroys, $44
Thinking pink? Can't go wrong with there skinnies.

I've posted them before and I'll probably do it again. Under $25 these would be perfect with black or brown boots.

Lands End, Fit 1 Slim Ankle Cord, $49
A great saturated green is perfect for fall.

Where are you finding the best cords this season? I love my chocolate brown cords, but sometimes you have to throw in the unexpected!

Bright Chevron

Hey lovebugs!

How was your long weekend? I hope you took some time for yourself and had some time to recharge.  Now that we're back to work, at least it's only a short one. Today I thought we'd look at a trend that we've seen here before but in new colors. Let's look at chevron but in some brights!

I love this longer tank because its so easy to accessorize with a long necklace or earrings.

Piperlime, C. Luce Belted Dress, $64
One of my favorite colors is green, this dress combines a great pattern, a great color and a great silhouette.

I absolutely love the colors in this scarf, reminds me of candy.

Macy's, Cha Cha Vente Top, $34
Look at these gorgeous sleeves, so perfect for running around on a Saturday.

Are you wearing chevron this summer? How are you mixing it up to perk up your wardrobe?

Bright Blazers

Hey lovebugs!
Happy Monday.  If the Mondays have you down, do I have something to make you smile.  It's a traditional piece now with a colorful spin. I'm talking about bright blazers!

Urban Outfitters, Pins and Needles Scalloped Blazer, $79
I love this pastel pink! It would look great with a white dress or a black pencil skirt.

Eddie Bauer, lightweight chino blazer, $69
The color is a little military, the details are so feminine.  The low stance with the buttons makes it more casual and on the back is a thin bow tie.

The Outnet, Armand basi baber, $77
There's only a few left in size 4 but it is just gorgeous isn't it? I love the bracelet sleeves.

Newport News, Satin wing collar jacket, $49
Hello drama! What a fabulous, luscious color to go with!

Try to spruce up your blazers with some color.  If you want to keep what you have now, add a neon skinny belt around the outside to give it some extra pop!

Bright and Beautiful

Hey there lovebugs!

Happy Monday to you.  It's my first day back at work after an extended Christmas stay-cation with the BF.  So today has been an extra slow start for me.  Now what's the best remedy for a sleepy Monday?  I can think of a few things:
  1. one venti Starbucks skim latte
  2. a bright and cheery outfit
  3. online shopping at katespade.com
Luckily for my wallet its the first two, but Santa was plenty good to me by bringing me some idiom bracelets from Kate.  Now, onto the bright and cheery.  Sometimes an outfit needs an embellishment, the right piece of jewelry or the perfect shoe, but sometimes it just needs a neon.

Hello Saturday night.  This dress has wonderful structural qualities on the top and the skirt has a delicate dot pattern.

Forever 21, Its a beautiful day tank, $10.80
I don't think this needs much.  Perfect weekend wear or pair it with a tuxedo jacket and skinny dark wash jeans.

Nine West, Meredith, $99
So very Mad Men, no?

I love this chic little number.  It's versatile and like a mini shot of energy every time you look down.

Apez (etsy), neon yellow bow headband, $8
If all else fails to pick you up on a Monday, go big and go bow.

Not feeling this highlighter explosion for you? Too bright? Try it on your nails first.  I like this one by China Glaze called "Peachy Keen".
